“Every court has a story. Every journey leaves a mark. I paint the rhythm of the game, the soul of places, and the moments that move us.”
Marclen Ricafort- Chulani (b. 1988) is a self- taught interdisciplinary artist whose work blends urban street art with abstracts sports- inspired expression. Using mixed media, acrylic, and upcycled sports equipment, she captures the energy and movement of the game in a playful, dynamic style.
Her journey as an artist has been shaped by her love for sports, travel, and the outdoors. She often transforms her own photographs into abstract paintings, letting her experiences guide her creative process. Everything flows together— her passion for basketball, her background as a yoga teacher and preschool educator, and her deep appreciation for movement and storytelling.
From pop-ups in the U.S. to her first solo exhibition in Manila, Marclen continues to explore the connections between sports, culture, and creativity through her art.
